Will We Be Crime?

o que é terrorismo?Following (perhaps) the advice of Hakim Bey in his “Poetic terrorism”, the philosopher Charles Feitosa and the poet Renato Rezende (both Brazilians and inhabitants of Rio de Janeiro) propose a ceasefire between poetry and philosophy (a conflict which has lasted since Plato, with few attempts throughout history to bring both perspectives together) to join efforts towards a more urgent and down-to-earth purpose: political activism. The idea is to challenge the naturalization of a split city (apartheid type) in Rio de Janeiro and, more specifically, to challenge the Terrorism Bill recently approved by the Brazilian Senate, which represents a major setback for human rights and civil liberties in the country.
